Kian just danced for the first time!! He was standing at his toy that plays music, and he started shaking his booty. It was very cute. Overall, he's a very musical baby. He hums when he's tired, as though he's trying to put himself to sleep. I suspect he would be singing if it weren't for the pacifier (which I'm going to have to figure out how to get rid of). The funniest thing is that he sings a lot in general. Most of the time, he sings while eating. However he doesn't just sing; he sticks one arm in the air and waves it around, and it all seems very operatic. We really need to get it on video. How appropriate for us to have a son who sings odes to food. He also tends to sing in the car along with music. All very cute (if you ask me).
Luckily, my MIL is a music teacher. After our week with her in NC and TN, she was very excited to introduce him to different instruments. For now, he's really into percussion. Ha! Later on, she plans on having Kian over to play with all the different instruments, so he can pick a favorite of his own. That'll be fun.
